Washington, DC

Greetings and welcome to the new online home of the National Collegiate Security Conference (NCSC). Hosted annually by an enterprising and passionate group of Georgetown University students since 1972, NCSC has a long and proud tradition of offering delegates from all over North America the most realistic and compelling simulations of contemporary issues in international relations. This year’s conference, NCSC XXXVI, promises to continue its predecessors’ tradition of excellence while simultaneously improving in ways that will ensure it is the finest Model UN event ever hosted by the Georgetown International Relations Association, Inc.

To be held on the campus of Georgetown University at the Leavey Center Marriott from October 9-12, 2008, NCSC XXXVI will offer delegates an extraordinary experience. As the conference will take place directly in the District of Columbia, delegates will have unprecedented access not only to renowned Georgetown faculty experts, but to U.S. and international policy and diplomatic communities. The Secretariat of NCSC XXXVI pledges to make opportunities for delegates to take advantage of these incredible opportunities found nowhere else on the collegiate Model UN circuit. In addition, conference participants will be served by an energetic and knowledgeable simulation staff and will be able to enjoy a vibrant social and cultural atmosphere outside of committee.

It is our pleasure to invite you all to join us for Columbus Day Weekend in Washington to kick off the 2008-2009 collegiate Model UN season. During the interim, please feel free to use this site as your portal to the National Collegiate Security Conference. We are proud to announce that registration is currently open, and we will periodically update the site with important information and resources as the days count down to October 9, 2008. We look forward to seeing you then.
