Dear Delegates and Faculty Advisors,

On behalf of the Georgetown International Relations Association, it is our distinct pleasure to invite you to the thirty-eighth session of the National Collegiate Security Conference, to be held Thursday, October 28th through Sunday, October 31st, 2010.

Since 1972, NCSC has served as a dynamic forum for detailed debate on the world’s most serious crises. Each year, internationally-minded Georgetown University students work tirelessly to provide an unforgettable NCSC experience for 500 of the nation's best Model United Nations delegates. We remain firmly committed to continuing the NCSC tradition of intimate, innovative, and predominantly crisis-based committees respected for their substantive strength.

We are very excited to announce that NCSC XXXVIII will be held at the Hyatt Regency Bethesda in Bethesda, MD. A plethora of restaurants and shops near the Hyatt Regency, and a Red Line metro stop directly beneath it, will elevate the conference atmosphere while making downtown Washington more accessible to NCSC delegates than ever before. In addition to all our nation's capital has to offer, exciting NCSC-sponsored social events will round out what promises to be an enriching and memorable weekend.

Registration Has Closed, Waitlist Has Opened

Due to a trend of earlier registration by delegations attending NCSC this year, registration has now closed. However, we have opened a waitlist, and all schools wishing to be placed on the waitlist may register on our website as normal and await the possible opening of delegate spots. The waitlist will be on a first-come, first-serve basis; teams will be emailed in order as spots open up. As always, if you have any questions regarding registration or the waitlist, please feel free to contact our Director of Delegate Affairs, Rachel Farell, at r.farell@modelun.org.

Regular Registration is Now Closed

Regular Registration for NCSC XXXVIII has now closed. Late Registration will continue until capacity is filled, at which point a waitlist will be formed. If you are planning on attending NCSC, we would strongly recommend doing so in the next week, as very few spots are left and will be gone soon!
