Caroline Dupas

Secretary-General

(she/her)

  • Caroline Dupas is a member of Georgetown’s School of Foreign Service who is majoring in International Politics with a concentration in International Law, Institutions, and Ethics, and a minor in Economics. As she will constantly remind you, Caroline is an obnoxious New Yorker (from the suburbs) and therefore will not miss an opportunity to mock your pizza, bagels, and sports teams. Caroline randomly discovered Model UN her freshman year of high school, instantly fell in love, and has been all-too invested in the activity since then—competing in over forty conferences over the past seven years. Currently, she helps lead team GUMUN, one of the world’s top ranked teams, and largely competes in General Assembly-style committees. Caroline is most known for her red Q&A dress, unnecessarily long tier system clauses, statistic speech-hooks, and conference playlists, proudly featuring Kesha and NLE Choppa. She is also the former Under-Secretary General of Councils & Boards, and has loved staffing Georgetown’s other conferences, NAIMUN and DistrictMUN. Outside of Model UN (that’s a thing?), Caroline teaches swim lessons, is a Delta Phi Epsilon sister, and a perpetual Hilltern. She will gladly talk yap to you about Lana Del Ray, Survivor, Dance Moms, Panera, or Goldfish flavors over a girl dinner.

Caroline is beyond excited to serve as your Secretary-General and welcome you to the best conference on the collegiate circuit and best NCSC yet.

Kate Satterfield

Executive Director

(she/her)

  • Kate Satterfield is a member of the Walsh School of Foreign Service class of 2027 studying Science, Technology, and International Affairs with a concentration in Energy and the Environment, minoring in Spanish and International Business Diplomacy. She is from Orlando, Florida and is a staunch defender of Florida’s natural ecosystems (as such, she is very anti-golf course). Her first experience with Model UN came through the Georgetown University Model UN team, with whom she competed twice. While competing in MUN wasn't for her, she did find her calling through staffing both NCSC LI and NAIMUN LXI in her freshman year—the rest is history. Outside of MUN, Kate plans super fun social events as the Events Chair for the Georgetown University Moot Court Team, researches the real UN through a lab on campus, and assists residents as an RA in the best freshman dorm (AKA Harbin Hall). Outside of her school obligations, you can probably find Kate curled up on her tiny dorm bed reading a good (maybe trashy…) book with ample cheese and crackers at the ready. When not reading or cramming for an exam, Kate loves to spend her free time cooking new and exciting meals, pretending to be a gym rat, exploring DC, and generally spending time outdoors. If you run into Kate, feel free to strike up a conversation about art history, the ocean, or food— she’ll talk to you for hours!

Kate is honored to serve as your Executive Director and is so stoked to welcome all of you to DC for the best NCSC in history.

Cynthia Gudaitis

Chief of Staff

(she/her)

  • Cynthia Gudaitis is a member of the Walsh School of Foreign Service class of 2027, studying international politics with a concentration in international law, ethics, and institutions, and minoring in Spanish. Cynthia hails from the beautiful beaches of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina and is proud to have status as a “local,” especially during the summer—although she admittedly cannot stand the unabating humidity. At Georgetown, Cynthia enjoys travelling with the model UN team, especially in court-style committees —maybe you’ve seen her around the circuit in the ICJ. Her love for model UN did, in fact, inform her major decision (though she tries to deny it), and she is so excited to serve as the Chief of Staff for NCSC LIII. Previously, she was the under-secretary general for regional crisis committees and has also staffed NAIMUN. Outside of Model UN and international affairs, Cynthia is an avid runner six days a week (she spends the seventh day yapping about it) and is planning to have run her first marathon by conference weekend. She also loves music in all forms—from taking music theory classes to playing keyboard for the Mask and Bauble Dramatic Society’s production of Sweeney Todd to singing with Georgetown Music Ministry Chapel Choir to blasting EDM on her morning runs at the National Mall. Cynthia thoroughly bleeds NCSC red and is thrilled to welcome everyone to DC for a modern, realistic, and security-focused Halloweekend!

Substantive Side

CarLos Gerke

Under-Secretary-General of Assemblies & Specialized

(he/him)

  • Carlos Gerke is a proud member of Georgetown’s Walsh School of Foreign Service class of 2028, majoring in International Politics. Born and raised in La Paz, Bolivia— the world’s highest capital— he grew up navigating international cultures, attending an American school before embracing the rigor of a French lycée, where he not only survived but thrived. He even took a gap semester to study abroad in Lyon, France. Carlos stumbled into Model UN in high school and never looked back. As a core member of Lycée Franco-Bolivien’s MUN travel team and Secretariat, he competed across Latin America. Now at Georgetown, he staffed NAIMUN LXII and NCSC LII while competing on the university’s travel team. Outside of MUN, he works as a risk analyst at GUASFCU, the largest student-run financial institution in the US, and debates everything from democracy to Bolivia’s inevitable rise as a global superpower with the oldest debating society at Georgetown, the Philodemic Society. As a member of the Blue & Gray tour guide society, he’s always ready to convince you (and your unsuspecting family) that Georgetown is the only logical choice for college. Expect impassioned speeches on Bolivian history, elaborate political theories over coffee, and an unsolicited deep dive into his 2050 presidential campaign. Speak Spanish or French? Brace yourself— he’ll only talk to you in those. He’s thrilled to be one of your USGs of Assemblies & Specialized and can’t wait to meet you in Washington!

Sanjay Rajesh

Under-Secretary-General of Councils

(he/him)

  • Sanjay Rajesh is a dedicated member of Georgetown College’s class of 2028, majoring in Public Policy and Government (shocker). Originally from the dreary, rainy city of Seattle, Sanjay got immersed in (forcefully sucked into) the MUN community, competing on the college team his freshman year. After staffing NCSC and NAIMUN, he’s now excited to call Georgetown Model UN a home and is so excited to meet the delegates in his Councils (best organ btw). When he’s not gone every weekend for a MUN trip, he plays the violin in No Pressure Creatives, the Asian American musical, and is a scheming member of Georgetown Survivor, where he competed and stayed on the production team to traumatize future contestants 🙂. These activities combined with the routine pool games in the Jesuit Residence and coffee breaks with friends that turn into hour-long yap sessions have made his Georgetown experience so special. He’s excited for his role in NCSC Secretariat and in organizing this amazing conference to be the next step in his college journey. :)

Ava Manaker

Under-Secretary-General of Cabinets

(she/her)

  • Ava Manaker is a member of Georgetown's School of Foreign Service class of 2028, where she’s  studying Regional and Comparative Studies, focusing on Russia-Eurasia and minoring in Russian. She is from the Philadelphia suburbs (proud New Jersey hater) and grew up doing ballet, reading, and pursuing her love for international relations in debate. Ava found Model UN by staffing NCSC LII (almost as great as NCSC LIII!), where she loved impersonating a Russian separatist Finnish elf. She is now a travel delegate with the Georgetown Model UN team and a NAIMUN staffer. Outside of MUN, Ava is an editor for the Georgetown Journal of International Relations, a member of the Philodemic Society, and an (extremely short-lived) contestant on Georgetown Survivor (spoiler: she did not survive). Off campus, Ava can be found running along Embassy Row, doing ballet, reading (preferably pretentious Russian novels), and baking.

Kee Hung Giam

Under-Secretary-General of Assemblies & Specialized

(he/him)

  • Kee Hung (but often called Kenneth or Kenny G) is a member of Georgetown’s Walsh School of Foreign Service majoring in International Economics. He is from a small town on the outskirts of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and moved to Jakarta, Indonesia when he was 10. Home is hence a 25 hour flight away; one of the strangest ways Kenneth combats his homesickness is to hop around DC’s university campuses in search of Southeast Asian foreign policy, networking, and social events. He currently travels with Georgetown’s Model UN Team, and has resigned himself to being the team’s punching bag (do NOT believe what they say about his romantic pursuits). He also previously staffed both NCSC LII and NAIMUN LXII. Outside of MUN, Kenneth consults for small businesses in the DMV area, conducts research on US-China relations for an on-campus think tank, and is Outreach Chair of Georgetown’s Club Singapore. You may also catch him at an on-campus Asian food event, where he desperately tries to find chances to converse in any one of the 6 languages he speaks, many of which are admittedly useless outside of Southeast Asia (please speak to him in Cantonese or Indonesian, he will be indescribably happy). He is so excited to be (one of) your USG of Assemblies & Specialized, and can’t wait to welcome you to Washington, DC!

Rachel Styslinger

Under-Secretary-General of Boards & Agencies

(she/her)

  • Rachel is studying International Economics in the School of Foreign Service class of 2027, with minors in Religion, Ethics, and World Affairs and Art History. Her first experience with Model UN was as a Crisis Analyst at NCSC LI and from there, she tumbled down the Georgetown Model UN rabbit hole—now proudly a member of the Georgetown Travel Model UN Team. On campus, she is on the board of Delta Phi Epsilon (the professional foreign service sorority), volunteers with HOME (Homeless Outreach Meals and Education), and occasionally rock climbs. She is a research assistant for the Georgetown Center for Retirement Initiatives and spent last summer as the Director of a High Ropes Course and Zip Line at a sleepaway camp. Rachel is a matcha latte enthusiast, reads too many romance novels, and can stare at large bodies of water for hours without losing interest. Slowly but surely, she is making her way through Vanderpump Rules and is crocheting a blanket that will likely never be finished. Home for Rachel is Kensington, Maryland. From the Washington Hilton, if you follow Connecticut Avenue for a few miles and take a left, you will reach her childhood house— where you can pet her dog, Jasper, through the backyard gate.

Luke Madden

Under-Secretary-General of Non-Traditional Crisis

(he/him)

  • Luke Madden is a student at Georgetown’s Walsh School of Foreign Service in the class of 2028 intending to study International Political Economy and minoring in Philosophy and History. He is from Pasadena, CA and is sorely missing the warm SoCal weather and good food. He first got involved with Model UN in junior year of high school and has continued competing on Georgetown’s travel team since coming to campus (bleed GUMUN). At Georgetown, Luke is also a staff writer for On the Record, GU Politics’ student newspaper, as well as a member of the Philodemic Society; Project Maverick, a US-China research group on-campus; the Knights of Columbus; the GU Wargaming Society; and Kappa Alpha Pi, the professional law and government fraternity. Outside of his extracurriculars, you can find him on one of his many walks around the Georgetown neighborhood, listening to music, debating passionately with friends about whichever niche interest has caught his attention this week, reading, playing the violin, or playing strategy games with friends. Having previously served as a Crisis Analyst for the UNSC at NCSC LII (the second-best NCSC after LIII) and at the Hawaii committee at NAIMUN LXII, he is both honored and excited to be a part of the team putting together NCSC LIII this year.

Christopher Pishvaian

Under-Secretary-General of Joint-Crisis

(he/him)

  • Christopher Pishvaian is a member of Georgetown’s College of Arts and Sciences class of 2028 where he is majoring in Biology with a minor in Government, although he is planning to transfer to the Walsh School of Foreign Service and major in Science, Technology, and International Affairs. Chris is a proud DMV native who calls Potomac, Maryland his hometown. He began his Model UN career in high school where he fell in love with Model UN at NAIMUN, and is now a travelling member of the Georgetown Model UN team. Chris has previously worked on NCSC as a Crisis Analyst and staffed NAIMUN as a Chair and CA, where he helped establish JCCs as the best organ NCSC has to offer. Outside of the crazy world of MUN, Chris is a member of the Georgetown University Minority Association of Pre-Health Students as the freshman co-representative (yes he’s a pre-med MUN kid, it’s a weird mix), a tutor for the Center for Social Justice’s After School Kids program, and an avid repper of his Lebanese heritage with the Georgetown Lebanese Society. For fun, he’s been a pianist for more years than he can count, loves catching up on his favorite movies and games (counting the days until Andor Season 2 and Elden Ring: Nightrein), watches the New Orleans Saints break his heart every NFL season, and misses his cats at home. Given his reputation in GUMUN as a master yapper, Chris is incredibly excited to be USG of JCCs and meet new delegates to make NCSC LIII as amazing as it can be.

Executive Side

Jackson Roberts

Director of Delegate Affairs

(he/him)

  • Jackson Roberts is a member of the class of 2028 in the Walsh School of Foreign Service, where he’s majoring in International Political Economy and minoring in Spanish and an elusive second minor he simply cannot decide on. A very proud born-and-not-raised Chicagoan (he grew up in the suburbs), he first discovered Model UN in middle school, and later competed on his high school’s travel team. Nowadays, he’s on the circuit as a member of Georgetown’s competitive team, and is honored to have staffed the Georgetown MUN conference trifecta: NCSC LII (obviously) as a member of the Chief of Staff team, NAIMUN LXII as the Director of the Legal committee, and DistrictMUN V as a Director for UNESCO. Outside of the MUN world, you can find Jackson copyediting articles for Georgetown’s school newspaper The Hoya and leading hikes and campouts as a guide for Georgetown’s Outdoor Education program. When he’s not MUNning, outside, or procrastinating on his schoolwork, Jackson is most likely using his (admittedly very limited) free time to cycle through his 800-song (and counting!) playlist, yap with friends in English and/or Spanish, or wish he could be at his three favorite places in the world (other than the Washington Hilton, of course): Chicago, the Northwoods of Wisconsin, and Glacier National Park. He cannot wait to get to know as many of NCSC LIII’s delegates as possible, whether that be through email or at what’s bound to be an unforgettable NCSC LIII!

Matthew Lewis

Director of Operations

(he/him)

  • Matthew Lewis is a member of the Walsh School of Foreign Service class of 2028 majoring in International Political Economics. Growing up in the Chicagoland area through high school, he participated in many Model UN conferences, forming a passion for international service and MUN along with other commitments. No wonder he ended up as NCSC’s Director of Operations. But enough about MUN: here at Georgetown, he’s expanded his hobbies to many activities. In addition to working with the International Relations Association and the Bipartisan Coalition board, he has taken up boxing to try to do some cardio outside of powerlifting. He is also a devoted Clash of Clans player, who has reached town hall 17 without rushing. He also took up a position at the Security Exchange Commission right before January 20th, and loves to talk about political transfers of power and the economic and political state of the world like Jaden Smith. Anyways! He is super excited to work with NCSC, and is always open to chat!

Maya Belorusskiy

Director of Philanthropy

(she/her)

  • Maya Belorusskiy is a proud student of the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service class of 2028. She is currently pursuing an International Political Economy degree, though could potentially be swayed to switch to STIA. Who knows? She is passionate about trade and development policy, non-jargon tech + AI talk, comparative religions, maps, and art (and is also a Russian-speaking member of NCSC sec…notice a trend?). Maya dares you to count how many (sometimes fake) Chicagoans are on Secretariat, as she is proud to be one of them. Hailing from the great suburb of Buffalo Grove, Illinois, she is (begrudgingly) entering her sixth year of MUN. Starting her NCSC journey as a Regionals (rip) CA, she has since travelled around the Contemporary Crisis/GA/NSA world at NAIMUN LXII, competed on Georegtown’s competitive Model UN circuit, and volunteered with the GIRA-Local middle school outreach team. Outside of the vast universe of GUMUN, Maya is a member of the Hilltop Microfinance Initiative, works closely with dialogue work through the Berkley Center for Religion, Peace, and World Affairs, and recently discovered free figure drawing lessons amidst Georgetown’s pre-professional craziness. Maya is working hard to promote NCSC as a community that gives and gives back. Watch out for crazy phil incentives–it’s going to get fun. (P.S. If you see this- take a selfie with your chair and show it at the phil desk for a special shoutout).

Maria Razborova

Director of Business Development

(she/her)

  • Maria Razborova is a member of the School of Foreign Service class of 2028, where she plans on majoring in Science, Technology, and International Affairs and minoring in French. She secretly really loves math and chemistry, something which she’s too ashamed to admit to her SFS peers. She hails from Chicago (real Chicago, not the suburbs), but was born in Princeton, New Jersey. She is also a Russian-American dual citizen and she will make sure to let everyone know about this. She loves learning languages, and speaks Russian, English, French and some Swedish. Her love for Model UN started when she joined her school’s team her freshman year, and she ended up competing as a devout crisis delegate for four years. At Georgetown, she proudly served as a crisis analyst for NCSC LII in the Cabinet of Yemelyan Pugachev and NAIMUN LXII in Ad Hoc. When she’s not sending countless emails or reading 200 pages for a class she has tomorrow, she is either watching a pretentious artsy film with no plot, trying a new overpriced coffee shop, buying too many books at a hipster bookstore, or attempting to master a new piano sonata. She is honored to serve as NCSC LIII’s Director of Business and she can’t wait to see you all in the fall!

Aayan Ali

Director of Programming

(he/him)

  • Aayan Ali is an enthusiastic member of the Walsh School of Foreign Service class of 2028. He is pursuing a major in International Political Economy and he is from Chicago! He is interested in trade and security policy, history, philosophy (with enough caffeine), and science. Aayan is entering his fifth year of MUN, and he’s no stranger to rhetorical activities, having competed in policy debate throughout high school and participating in the Philonomosian Society at Georgetown. In MUN, Aayan loves crisis, but as DProg, Aayan is excited to share his love of DC’s embassies and museums, as well as his affinity for house and rave music. To add, he is part of Georgetown’s chapter of Kappa Alpha Pi, researches US space policy for an on-campus club, and is a contestant on Georgetown’s rendition of Survivor (sorry Ava and Maya). For fun, he hangs out with friends, goes to the gym, and watches football and basketball. Contact Aayan for your conference programming-related needs!

Avelyn Bailey

Director of Media and Marketing

(she/her)

  • Avelyn Bailey is a student in the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service class of 2028, and she intends to major in Culture and Politics. Originally from Charleston, South Carolina, she (tragically) didn’t have MUN at her high school. She was a proud delegate to the 76th Palmetto Girls State though, which gave her an affinity for fast-paced and competitive mock governments. Last year, she loved serving as a crisis analyst for NCSC LII in the Non-Traditional Organ. As DMM of NCSC LIII, she aims to bring the exhilaration she experienced in committee to a broader audience. When she’s not sneaking puns into crisis note responses, you can find Avelyn poring over Supreme Court opinions for the Georgetown Moot Court Team, lugging set pieces across campus on behalf of Mask and Bauble Dramatic Society, or marveling at “Electronic Superhighway” in the Smithsonian American Art Museum. She hopes that you’ll also find your own favorite corner of DC when in town for the best NCSC yet!
