It's October 19, 2025, and the Louvre has just been robbed! In the span of eight minutes, a team of thieves entered the building, stole a section of the French Crown Jewels, and escaped unseen. This theft, the first at the Louvre since the Le chemin de Sèvres was stolen in 1998, is one of a recent string of unconnected thefts in French museums. Following the Louvre theft, an INTERPOL task force was convened to address the incident as well as the global rise in art theft and crime. As a law enforcement official assigned to this task force, delegates are charged with identifying issues in museum security, tracing trafficked art, and shutting down the global art black market. At the same time, delegates need to balance security with the need to ensure state sovereignty and public access to art and museums. Throughout the course of this committee, delegates may also encounter a wide range of crises, such as additional museum thefts and black market auctions! It may have taken only eight minutes to rob the Louvre, but it'll take much more time to end the flow of missing art.

Zoe Kramar
CHAIR
Zoe Kramar is a member of the Class of 2028 in the Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University. She is majoring in Science, Technology, and International Affairs. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Zoe has been involved in Model UN since her freshman year of high school. She has loved participating in MUN at Georgetown, and served as USG of Contemporary Crisis for NAIMUN LXIII. Outside of MUN, Zoe can be found tutoring (or talking about tutoring) elementary school students with DCReads. She is also the Sisterhood Chair in the Jewish Student Association. In her free time, Zoe loves making the perfect playlist (featuring lots of Lizzy McAlpine, of course), and walking or biking through D.C.'s neighborhoods.

Valli Pendyala
CRISIS MANAGER
Valli Pendyala is a member of the School of Foreign Service’s class of 2027. They have been very involved with Model UN throughout their time at Georgetown, having previously served as NCSC LII’s Director of Operations and GIRA Local’s Chief of Staff and having staffed NCSC LI and NAIMUN LXI, LXII, and LXIII. Outside of Model UN, they run Queer Dharma, sing tenor in the choir, and are being slowly consumed by their thesis. In their free time, you can find them trying to finish their annual 52-book reading challenge, going on food-related sidequests, or asserting that if a crime is funny, it should be legal, actually. They are very excited to serve as your crisis manager and cannot wait to welcome you to DC and NCSC LIV!
