Luke Madden is a member of the School of Foreign Service Class of 2028, majoring in International Politics and minoring in Philosophy and International Business Diplomacy. Originally from Pasadena, CA (go Dodgers!), Luke is a former NCSC USG, Co-Director of Crisis and Specialized Training for GUMUN, and is also involved with the Philodemic Society, Georgetown's premier on-campus debate group. Outside of his extracurriculars and academics, you can find him around campus talking about current events with his friends, watching reruns of Yes Minister, or being brutally backstabbed in his latest game of Diplomacy. Luke is excited to return to NCSC for a fantastic JCC!

EMPIRE CHAIR

Steve Yurcisin is a member of Georgetown’s Walsh School of Foreign Service Class of 2029, where he studies International Politics. Originally from Belmar, New Jersey (home of the best beaches in the world), he was first introduced to Model UN in seventh grade, competing at a local high school’s conference. Just a few years later, he would be staffing that conference, helping local middle schoolers grow passionate about research and world events. Outside of Model UN, he is a member of The Stratagem Institute on campus, loves to run, lift, and swim, works as a beach lifeguard in the summer, and is a Dire Straits enthusiast. Steve is honored and excited to be your chair in the Napoleonic Wars committee this Fall!

Elizabeth Hoerter is a member of the Walsh School of Foreign Service class of 2029, where she studies International Politics and Chinese. She currently calls Boulder, Colorado home but grew up sort of all over the place (shoutout Massachusetts and also Johannesburg). Elizabeth has been involved with Model UN since her sophomore year of high school, where she helped revive her school’s club and grew her love for a good JCC assasination plot. Outside of Model UN, she copyedits for The Hoya, guides for Outdoor Education, and shows up to Club Swim practice sometimes. She also enjoys Fleetwood Mac and is constantly open to new falafel recommendations. Elizabeth is honored and delighted to be your chair in the Napoleonic Wars committee this Fall!

EMPIRE CRISIS MANAGER

Max Bell (Class of 2029) is in the Walsh School of Foreign Service, studying International Politics with a concentration in Foreign Policy and a certificate in Diplomatic Studies! He is from Gaithersburg, MD, so he’s pretty local to the DC area. Max has been a Model UN fanatic since middle school and has already competed and staffed several conferences with Georgetown’s MUN team and GIRA. In addition, Max is the Vice President of the GU Philoso-Tea Society, the only (and best!) undergraduate Philosophy and Tea club on the Georgetown campus! He loves to travel, discover new places in DC, and try new foods. Max is elated to be a CM and he can’t wait to see all of the arcs, notes, and fun that delegates will bring to this committee. COALITION CHAIR

David is a member of the Class of 2029 at Georgetown’s Walsh School of Foreign Service. A proud resident of northern New Jersey, he’s always happy to explain what makes the Garden State so great. David attended his first Model United Nations conference in fifth grade and has loved the activity ever since. He competed throughout high school, and NCSC LIV will mark the fifth conference he has staffed since coming to Georgetown—including one he helped run in Chengdu, China this past February. David is also involved in the Georgetown International Relations Association’s local programming, working to expand MUN education for students across the DMV area. He currently serves as an Under-Secretary-General for Economic and Social Councils for NAIMUN LXIV, Georgetown’s MUN conference for high school students. Outside of MUN, you can usually find David spending time with friends, yapping about his study abroad experience in Taiwan, and/or enjoying a chicken Caesar wrap from Epi’s. He can’t wait to serve as your chair for the Coalition and help make this year’s NCSC the best edition yet!

COALITION CHAIR

Emma Zhou is a member of the class of 2028 in the Walsh School of Foreign Service, majoring in International Politics. Born in San Francisco, she grew up and attended school in Shanghai, China. Emma began Model UN in fifth grade and stayed involved throughout high school, eventually serving as Secretary General of her school’s Model UN program. In her sophomore year at Georgetown University, she served as USG of Committees for DistrictMUN, GIRA Local’s conference for middle school students. In addition to having staffed NCSC in the past, she is currently the Director of Media and Design for NCSC’s sister conference, NAIMUN. Outside of Model UN, Emma is in the Special Events sub-board of the International Relations Club and is also a Development Coordinator for Georgetown Undergraduate Journal of International Politics. In her free time, she loves exploring the city with her camera. Emma is excited to serve as one of your chairs for this JCC! She hopes NCSC will motivate delegates to not only engage deeply with global issues during committee, but also to carry that curiosity beyond the conference.

COALITION CRISIS MANAGER

Amanda Bloom is a member of the class of 2027 in the Walsh School of Foreign Service. She is majoring in international politics with minors in journalism and Spanish. Amanda is from Chicago, Illinois, where she began competing in Model UN throughout high school. She is now a member of the GUMUN travel team, and this will be her fourth NCSC. Outside of Model UN, Amanda can be found reporting for The Hoya, Georgetown’s newspaper, procrastinating in the student center with friends, or taking a walk around D.C. Amanda is beyond excited to be your CM for the Coalition! She looks forward to seeing the ideas, creativity, and fun that delegates will bring to the committee. Hoya Saxa!

Kareem Nasr is a student in Georgetown’s College of Arts and Sciences Class of 2029, where he is unsure of what to major in at the moment, but trust, he has his life figured out. He will ask you what your favorite organ is during NCSC and will frown if JCC is not your answer (Double to love in a JCC, duh). See you all in the fall!
