CHAIR

Katherine Hart is in the School of Foreign Service in the class of [REDACTED], majoring in International Politics and double minoring in [REDACTED] and [REDACTED]. Last year, Katherine had the immense pleasure (stress) of serving as Chair of NCSC’s first-ever 24-hour Ad-Hoc General Assembly… But that’s not enough Model UN for Katherine—she was previously Director-General of NAIMUN LXIII, NCSC’s sister conference for high school students, and Under-Secretary-General of Non-Traditionals of NAIMUN LXII. Now, she is just washed up. In her rare free time, Katherine can be found in The Caravel or The Hoya offices (because one newspaper just wasn’t enough). She must love offices because she is also a Student Advocate for the Student Advocacy Office. And although we all swore to forget the misery of the SAT, Katherine (and her wonderful Co-Chair) willingly tutors high school students on the verbal section of the SAT (hence, she will always be impressed by good vocabulary). If the weather is nice, Katherine can surely be found attempting to tan on Healy Lawn (it’s not working) or going on walks with friends. When she returns home to [REDACTED], Katherine often visits the ranch where she worked, goes to art museums, and roots for the objectively best baseball team. She cites her hometown superiority as her validation to judge every barbecue and Tex-Mex restaurant. Katherine is very excited to judge more than just food at NCSC LIV. In this year’s Ad Hoc GA, she is excited to watch delegates debate [REDACTED], write about [REDACTED], and make excellent speeches (with exceptional vocabulary)!

CO-CHAIR

Alexia Espinoza Vlad is a member of the Class of 2027 in the Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University. She is pursuing a major in International Politics, with a concentration in International Law, Institutions, and Ethics, and a minor in Justice and Peace Studies. She often goes back home to [REDACTED] to escape the brutal DC winters! Alexia has been involved in Model UN since freshman year of high school, so she’s going on six years of debate and diplomacy. She has competed in and staffed conferences on middle school, high school, and collegiate circuits. She has also served as the Director of Training for GIRA Local and the Secretary-General of NAIMUN LXIII, Georgetown’s high school Model UN conference. When she’s not working on Model UN, Alexia advises international non-profit executives through Georgetown Global Consulting, welcomes prospective students and families to Georgetown’s campus through her hilarious and relatable campus tours, and works at the Mortara Center for International Studies. In her free time, she loves to try new foods around DC, spend money she doesn’t have on various exercise classes, and sing all types of music, from opera to jazz. Alexia is excited to be chairing [REDACTED] this year with some of her best friends!
