The Ad Hoc General Assembly body, topics, and Background Guide will be revealed to delegates at the beginning of the first committee session on Thursday night. This committee will be run as a midsize single-delegation committee.

This is an advanced committee. Awards in this committee will be given a 1.25 weighting when calculating delegation awards.

We are so excited to welcome you to Washington, DC for NCSC LIV’s Ad-Hoc of the General Assembly! The dais invites you to be curious about the content of this committee, but regretfully, our lips will remain sealed until Thursday night. So be ready to make sense of the senseless, and keep in mind that not everything is black-and-white.  We look forward to making your acquaintance.

Meet the Team

  • Monet Wright

    CHAIR


    Monet Wright is a member of the Class of 2029 in Georgetown’s Walsh School of Foreign Service, majoring in International Politics and minoring in Global Health. She is from the great state of New Jersey, though she lives just across from  NYC, which she loves almost as much as the Garden State. Over the past year, she has become (at least partly by accident) consumed by Model UN at Georgetown: she is currently serving as a USG of Contemporary Crisis for NCSC’s sister high school conference, NAIMUN, as well as on C-Staff leadership for GUMUN, Georgetown’s collegiate MUN travel team. She hopes to see some familiar faces at NCSC this year! Outside of Model UN, Monet is also involved in Georgetown’s student-run speakers bureau the Lecture Fund, the Georgetown Journal of International Affairs (GJIA), pre-law fraternity Kappa Alpha Pi, and the Asian American Student Association on campus. In her free time, she loves reading science fiction, watching horror movies (ask for recs), and playing Tetris. She is looking forward to welcoming delegates to the Washington Hilton in November, and hopes you are just as excited for NCSC!   • Rougiatou Bah

    CO-CHAIR

    Rougiatou is a member of the Class of 2029 at the McDonough School of Business, double majoring in Finance and Marketing with a minor in Entrepreneurship. A proud New Yorker through and through, she has been competing in Model UN since her freshman year of high school, where she discovered a deep passion for international affairs and built friendships that have followed her ever since. Outside of committee rooms, she stays busy supporting international startup developments and conducting research for consulting pitches. When she finally gets a moment to herself, you can find her endlessly cooking, hunting down the perfect interior design piece for her dorm, getting lost in her latest Kindle obsession, grinding through the daily NYT Connections, or rewatching reruns of The Pitt. As your chair of the GADHOC, she is excited to see all the creative and bold ways delegates argue their case, so come prepared, come sharp, and bring your best.
