After years of elevating designers, shaping trends, and Influencing culture far beyond the runway,
“… Anna Wintour’s departure signaled the end of an era.”
In 2025, the fashion world was left in absolute shock when Anna Wintour, the Editor-in-Chief of Vogue Magazine, stepped back from her daily responsibilities and announced her search for a successor. For decades, her leadership not only defined the direction of the magazine itself, but also for the entirety of the fashion industry. After years of elevating designers, shaping trends, and influencing culture far beyond the runway, her departure signaled the end of an era.
Delegates will assume the roles of international Vogue executives and models to confront the many challenges that await Vogue Magazine. Anna Wintour’s successor must be chosen by this committee to determine the direction of the magazine. In an increasingly complex sociopolitical environment, many critics and consumers believe that those in the media are responsible for using their platforms to drive meaningful dialogue and change. It is up to this committee to determine if they will use art to do so, or focus only on high fashion. Delegates will also be confronted with the prospect of new international houses of Vogue to better represent international consumers.
Finally, if there was one thing Anna Wintour was known for, it was her MET Galas. It is up to the members of this committee to determine the next MET Gala’s theme, co-chairs, and aesthetic in Anna’s absence. This committee is set at a time when the world’s most powerful magazine and all of fashion itself is uncertain, waiting to be reimagined by those with a strong enough vision to shape it.

Mahika Sharma
CHAIR
Mahika Sharma is a member of the Class of 2027 studying International Politics in the Walsh School of Foreign Service, with minors in Journalism and Diplomatic Studies. She hails from Fairfax, Virginia, where she first found herself bitten by the MUN bug in seventh grade. She’s since brought her passion for motions and moderated caucus to Georgetown, where she has served as the Under-Secretary-General of Non-Traditional Crisis at NAIMUN LXII and the Director-General of NAIMUN China VII. She has also had the honor of serving as GIRA’s Chief Global Strategist, developing new initiatives and executing the organization’s existing Model UN programming abroad. While she’s been on a bit of a chairing streak recently, she’s excited to finally let Caroline take the reins in the front-room and serve as your CM instead. Outside of MUN, you can find Mahika advocating for First Amendment rights with The Free Speech Project, reviewing restaurants around the city for her campus radio show, the d.c. dish, or writing movie reviews for one of Georgetown’s student newspapers (like The Devil Wears Prada, wink wink). Having spent her junior spring in the proud and beautiful nation of Ireland, be prepared for her to reminisce about studying abroad in Dublin at any and every turn. Mahika is so excited to see everyone debate, cooperate, and absolutely slay the house down during NCSC weekend!

Caroline Sippel
CRISIS MANAGER
Caroline Sippel is a member of the Walsh School of Foreign Service class of 2027, with a major of Culture and Politics and a minor in Public Health. She is originally from St. Louis, Missouri, but currently lives in Reston,Virginia. She has served as the Chief of Staff for GIRA Local, Georgetown’s conference for middle school students, and Under-Secretary-General of Historical Crisis for NAIMUN LXII, Georgetown’s conference for high school students, as well as a staffer for NAIMUN LXI, and NCSC LXI, NCSC LXII, and NCSC LXIII. She usually gets stuck in the back-room because Mahika thinks she is poorly behaved, so Caroline is excited to have social interaction for once. Besides Model UN, Caroline is a member of Georgetown’s chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta, a host on Georgetown's radio station, a cast member of Georgetown’s Rocky Horror Picture Show, and a lifeguard for the on-campus pool. She spent her spring semester in Salamanca, Spain, so be warned of vosotros usage and something along the lines of “from when I was abroad…” Her greatest passions are caffeinated beverages, rock music, and her dog. Caroline is stoked to see delegates flex their creative and diplomatic muscles at the same time in They Had Style, They Had Grace and having a fantastic final NCSC weekend with everyone!
