Siya Chhabra is a member of the Class of 2028 in the Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, majoring in Regional and Comparative Studies with a concentration in Asia, and is likely minoring in Chinese and Religion, Ethics, and World Affairs. Hailing from suburban Detroit but also having lived in Nanjing, China, Siya is always willing to talk about either—or both—at any given moment. Siya began her Model UN journey as a freshman in high school. During her freshman year here, she staffed both of Georgetown’s flagship conferences—NCSC and NAIMUN—and is excited to keep growing within the MUN community on campus. Outside of MUN, Siya serves as a Peer Advisor for the School of Foreign Service, dances with GU Guzaarish, Georgetown’s premier South Asian competitive dance team, and helps plan social events for Delta Phi Epsilon, the university’s pre-professional foreign service sorority. In her free time, Siya can usually be found with some kind of caffeinated drink in hand, SoulCycling, watching the latest Premier League match, or just chatting with friends around D.C. Siya is so excited to help bring NCSC LIV to life, and looks forward to contributing to an engaging, collaborative, and meaningful experience for all JCC delegates throughout the weekend! 

CATHERINE CHAIR

Julia Grimwade is a member of the Class of 2028 in the College of Arts & Sciences at Georgetown University. She is double-majoring in Government and Theology with a concentration in Religion, Politics, and the Common Good, and is minoring in Spanish. She is a proud midwesterner from Cleveland in the great state of Ohio. Although she had no prior experience with Model UN before college, Julia became involved with staffing conferences during her first year at Georgetown as a crisis analyst at NAIMUN LXII. She was swept into the MUN staffing circles, and has previously served as the Under Secretary-General for Historical Crisis committees at NAIMUN LXIII, a Crisis Manager at NCSC LIII, and a Crisis Manager for DistrictMUN VI. She loves the fast-paced environment of crisis committees and is so excited to continue her involvement with NCSC! Outside of MUN-related clubs, Julia is on the Georgetown club rock climbing team and is a letter editor for If You’re Reading This Georgetown. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling, climbing, listening to 70s rock, and performatively talking about Nietzsche. She is planning to attend law school after completing her undergraduate degree.
Julia is very excited to be a part of NCSC LIV. She had an embarrassingly long theater kid era in high school, and hopes to see someone perform a song from Six the Musical in this committee (or do so herself). She can’t wait for NCSC weekend and is very excited to chair!

CATHERINE CRISIS MANAGER

Jonas Pfefferman is a member of Georgetown’s Walsh School of Foreign Service Class of 2028, where he is majoring in Science, Technology, and International Affairs. He is from San Diego, California and will happily brag about that by complaining about the weather (whether or not you bring it up first). He started with Model UN in 7th grade (Junior Model United Nations) and both competed at and staffed conferences all through high school. He previously competed as part of Oxford College of Emory University’s team. He has most recently served as a Crisis Manager in NCSC LIII’s UNSC and NAIMUN LXVIII’s National Security Apparatus five-way crisis. Outside of MUN, he is also on the club fencing team, part of the Concord Group, and is building the consumer-facing app for a startup focused on delivering farm-fresh food directly to consumers. He enjoys playing the piano (classically trained, but learning how to play jazz), sinking hours into Minecraft, and hopping between the Smithsonians. He also runs far too much, though he’ll tell you that it’s not exactly enjoyable. He’s super excited to be a part of NCSC LIV and is ready to bring some chaos to committee. He can’t wait to see what everyone cooks up for their backroom!

ANNE CHAIR

Julia Krause is a sophomore from Boulder, Colorado. She is majoring in International History at Georgetown’s School of Foreign Service, as well as minoring in Art History. She has been in the MUN community since her freshman year of high school, and has been part of the collegiate circuit since last year. Outside of MUN, she participates in theater and plays guitar. She is obsessed with F1 and is always willing to talk about it (unless Oscar Piastri isn’t doing well, then it’s better not to ask).

ANNE CRISIS MANAGER

Shaun Persaud is a member of the class of 2028 in the Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, where he is majoring in International Politics and minoring in Spanish. He is proudly from Huntsville, Alabama, Roll Tide! Shaun’s Model UN journey began in his sophomore year of high school, and his first conference was NAIMUN LX as Tokugawa Yoshikatsu in the Fall of Edo JCC. Shaun continued with Model UN throughout high school and college by competing at NAIMUN LXI and eventually Georgetown Model UN. More recently, Shaun served as a director at NCSC LIII in the Ottoman/Persia JCC and NAIMUN LXIII in the Carthage/Rome JCC. Additionally, he recently traveled to CHOMUN XXIX (University of Chicago) as a delegate. Outside of Model UN, he loves to play soccer and video games (Rainbow Six Siege). Furthermore, he considers himself an amateur DJ. Additionally, he is a proud brother of the Kappa Alpha Pi Pre-Law Fraternity, where he participates in mixers and professional development, intending to pursue a career in law. Shaun can’t wait to be your crisis manager! He loves to see delegates push their arcs to their maximum creativity while maintaining historical accuracy.

Kareem Nasr is a student in Georgetown’s College of Arts and Sciences Class of 2029, where he is unsure of what to major in at the moment, but trust, he has his life figured out. He will ask you what your favorite organ is during NCSC and will frown if JCC is not your answer (Double to love in a JCC, duh). See you all in the fall!
